Senior Wellness

Preventative care for older pets, focused on comfort, mobility and quality of life.

About this service

Extra attention for older pets

Older pets deserve a little extra attention. Our senior wellness care is built around catching age-related changes early and keeping your pet comfortable, mobile and content.

Regular home check-ins make ongoing monitoring easy, and if your pet’s needs grow more complex over time, we can guide you gently towards the right support.

  • You notice changes in appetite, thirst, weight, energy or behaviour
  • There is vomiting, diarrhoea or a change in urination
  • Routine blood or urine testing has been recommended
  • Your pet needs blood pressure monitoring
  • An eye, lump, skin or ear problem needs a closer look
  • Further investigation is needed before deciding on treatment

What happens

What to expect during your visit

  1. We talk through the changes. We start with what you have noticed at home, however subtle.

  2. A full physical examination. We assess weight, body condition, mobility, comfort and general wellbeing.

  3. Screening where helpful. Depending on your pet's needs we may recommend blood tests, urine testing, ultrasound or blood pressure monitoring.

  4. Comfort and care plan. We review current medications and supplements and talk through changes that can help your pet age well.
